Each question uses credits. A question with a photo uses more than a text-only one, and the app shows the exact cost and your balance before you send.

Privacy
Your questions stay yours
- Your conversations are visible only to you. Other members and our moderators don't see them.
- Photos you attach are checked in memory to answer you, and never stored.
- The assistant is told only your first name and your preferred units, nothing else about your account.
- Conversations are included when you download your data, and deleted with your account. You can delete any conversation yourself at any time.

- Do I need an account to use the assistant?
- Yes. The assistant needs a free SeedBattle account with a confirmed email address. Every seed page, guide and comparison stays free to read without one.
- How many free credits do I get?
- Every account with a confirmed email gets 30 free credits each calendar month (UTC). Free credits you don't use expire when the month ends, and the next month brings a fresh set.
- What happens to credits I buy?
- Bought credits never expire. Free credits are always used first, so bought credits wait until you need them. Packs are one-off payments, never a subscription.
- Can I get credits back?
- Credits used on an answer are not refunded. If an answer fails, or the assistant can't answer because the question is outside gardening, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
- Where do the answers come from?
- From SeedBattle's published seed pages and growing guides first, with links to the pages it used. When our pages don't cover your question, it answers from general gardening knowledge and says so.
- Can it diagnose a sick plant from a photo?
- It can suggest possible causes from a photo, worded as possibilities to check rather than a certain diagnosis. Photos must be JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB, and are never stored.
- Who can see my conversations?
- Only you. They are included when you download your data, and deleted when you delete a conversation or your account.
